NEW ALBUM ON THE WAY
WINTER 2006
Gary is currently in the studio in Nashville, Tennessee
recording a new CD. The new CD will consist of a
combination of both vocal and instrumental songs Gary
has written. Check back soon for more details and an
upcoming release date.

THE BOX
TOPS TO PLAY MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
OCTOBER 25th, 2003
On October 25th, legendary Memphis group
"The Box Tops" play at ARTS in
the Park at the corner of Perkins and
Southern in Memphis. The Box Tops show is
scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
The Box Tops had the FIRST NUMBER ONE
RECORD recorded in Memphis in 1967.
(Elvis' first number ones were cut in
Nashville). "The Letter" was #1
on the charts for 4 weeks in 1967. The
Box Tops had two Grammy Nominations that
year. In 1968, their single "Cry
Like A Baby" reached #2 on the
charts.
After disbanding in 1970, they regrouped
in late 1996, recorded Tear Off at Easley
Studios and began limited touring in
1997.
Original members Alex Chilton (lead
singer), Gary Talley (guitar), Bill
Cunningham (bass), and Danny Smythe
drums) will be joined by Barry Walsh on
keyboards and a stellar Memphis horn

TALLEY WILL BE INSTRUCTOR @ 1st Annual
INDIE PRIDE SONG CAMP IN NEW YORK
AUGUST 18th - AUGUST 22nd, 2003
Gary Talley will be an
instructor at the First Annual Indie
Pride Song Camp in Central New York state
this summer. The camp will be at the Lake
Delta Conference Center & Campground
near Rome, New York. The dates are August
18th thru the 22nd . Other instructors
are Ellis Paul, Christine Lavin, Bob
Franke, Jon Ims and David Roth .
Events will include workshops, guitar
pulls, student concerts, instructor
concerts and lunch.

TALLEY PERFOMS AGAIN IN JOHN DALY
JUNE 18th & 19th,
Gary Talley will be participating again
in John Daly’s “Make a Wish
Celebrity Golf Classic” on June 18th
and 19th at Horseshoe Casino just south
of Memphis, TN.
Last year’s participants ,in
addition to Gary, included Hootie and the
Blowfish , Johnny Lee , Dickie Betts ,
and Steve Cropper .
In addition to golf , there’ll be a
concert.
